viva la fiesta: 2013 edition

Last night we threw a huge Fiesta.
It was kinda like last year. The bean dip doesn't look quite as fancy this year, but that's because the boys helped. So, it's not my fault. Obviously.
We had a fun dance party, DJ'd by only the best, Jason. Or DJ Dub as he calls himself. This is what I live for. My entire body hates me today because I was getting so down on the dance floor.
We had a cute little photobooth. Aren't those letters adorable? I made them myself. We had festive props such as a fake beer bottle, maracas, and fake mustaches. I used mascara for my mustache, which proved to be flawless.
Here are the founders of the party... plus that kid in the asian hat.
Ya know, when I dance, I get all sweaty and my cheeks get real red and I'm not really that pretty of a sight. Good thing it's dark on the dance floor. And good thing I can shake my booty. I'm pretty sure.

mardi gras

Last night was Mardi Gras. At first it was kinda lame... we got air brush tattoos. Mine says "Born to Ride". I wanted one that said "Angel" with a halo on the A, but they couldn't find it. So I had to settle for second most middle schoolesque.

Eventually, the dance became hoppin and that's when the fun began. I got super hyper and went cray cray. I accidentally punched a girl in the head while dancing... sorry lady. It wasn't very hard, though.

At one point, I was dancing hard; didn't care who I bumped into or who thought I was a freak. Some guy started making a circle around me. He like moved people to clear a fairly sized circle around me. I've never been in a real dance circle before. Let alone dance classy enough to get one made especially for me. Twice.

I'm gonna add that to my bucket list and check it off!

Here's a little video to show my after Mardi Gras hangover, if you will, with Lizzie.

gatsby

Last night I went to a Great Gatsby party at one of the frats (the mormon frat), SigEp.
It was pretty stellar. I went with Chaise, Mark, Jaron, and Keaton.
My roommate, Katie, did my makeup all awesome and I did my hair, which I was totes proud of. I got that fur coat and a feather and got all dressed up. That was probably the best part
One day, I wanna live in the 20's and dress up all classy and go to fancy parties and drink mocktails with gentlemen in suits and vests.

At the party, there were tons of mocktails, which Mark and I had like ten each, and we tasted each others too. That's like twenty each.  As you can see we found it rather funny...

We danced for hours, not Gatsby style. 2012 style.
And we even played a little blackjack!
Here's some more pics for your viewing pleasure...

viva la fiesta

It was Friday night last. The air was chilled and the sky was dark as night, because it was night. A little white girl decided to throw a Mexican Fiesta. She spread bean dip all over the kitchen table (separated by plastic wrap), and borrowed speakers the size of a small fridge. The mood was set with a black light and blaring music.

Slowly, people trickled in. And the party began.
People were bumping and grinding and dancing like chitlins.
It was the dance party of a lifetime.

Things got interesting.

Very interesting.

We danced to Mexican songs like I Can Transform Ya, Party Rock Anthem, and Say Ahh.
Basically, it was an excellente fiesta.

Fact: You can never trust a fake Mexican.
Fact: You can always trust a Luchador.
